SENIOR PUBLIC UTILITY AUDITOR
Position is assigned to the PSC General Staff – Audits Section. The Senior Public Utility Auditor works under administrative direction and is responsible for coordinating and conducting public utility audits, directing special investigations and studies, preparing commission reports, and presentation of testimony before the Arkansas Public Service Commission. This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, the Financial Accounting Standards Board, state and federal laws and agency policy.
The formal education equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related business field; plus four years' auditing experience, including one year in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Preferred qualifications include a CPA, MBA or advanced business degree and experience examining public utilities and public utility filings. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of the Qualifications Review Committee.
