PSC RATE CASE ANALYST
Position is assigned to the PSC Commissioner’s Staff Research and Policy Section. Primary duties include the review and analysis of utility company filings and presentation of testimony before the Arkansas Public Service Commission.
The formal education equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; plus three years of experience in rate analysis, financial analysis, economic forecasting or a related field. A CPA, MBA, or advanced business degree is preferred.
Proven analytical abilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this position. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of Qualifications Review Committee.
State pay grade GS09
Position is assigned to the APSC General Staff - Legal Section. Primary duties include conducting research and analyzing data in the development of cases pending before the Commission. The position administers data bases and reporting systems and prepares statistics to ensure projects are completed according to established internal and Commission directed procedural schedules. This position composes correspondence and other documents in support of the development of filings before the Commission. Position is responsible for coordinating activities between the Legal Section and other sections within the agency. Must be familiar with MS Word and Excel.
The formal education equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in public administration, general business, or a related field. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, upon approval of the Qualifications Review Committee.
Experience providing legal support and exceptional technology skills including Microsoft Word strongly preferred.
