PSC Administrative Law Judge
Position is assigned to the PSC General Staff. Primary duties include investigating and making recommendations regarding utility filings and other matters; rendering decisions in assigned cases; and managing other staff attorneys in preparing and presenting cases before the Commission, other regulatory agencies and courts; handling appeals to appropriate courts; providing advice and counsel.
Must be licensed to practice law and admitted to the Arkansas State Bar in accordance with ACA 16-22-201; plus six years of experience in regulatory law including two years in a professional managerial or supervisory capacity. Other job related education and/or may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements except for licensure requirements upon approval of the qualifications review committee.
Proven ability to strategically plan, quantitatively and qualitatively, evaluate options and exercise sound judgment in decision making.
State Pay Grade GS14
PUBLIC UTILITY AUDITOR
Position is assigned to the General Staff - Audits Section. Primary duties include auditing utility companies and analyzing utility company filings as directed, developing or assisting in the development of Staff’s position and the presentation of testimony on various regulatory issues. Out-of-state travel is required.
The formal education equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, auditing or a related field, plus three years of experience in auditing or financial analysis of utility companies or related field. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of Qualifications Review Committee. Certified Public Accountants are preferred.
