PSC Rate Case Analyst
Position is assigned to the PSC General Staff - Gas & Water Section. Primary duties include analysis of gas and water utilities financial statements, preparation of reports, testimony and exhibits.
The formal education equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance or a related field; plus four years of experience in rate analysis, financial analysis, economic forecasting, or related field. A CPA, MBA or advanced business degree with emphasis on quantitative methods is preferred. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of Qualifications Review Committee.
Proven analytical abilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this position.
State Pay Grade GS09
Position is assigned to the PSC General Staff - Telecommunications and Quality of Service Section. Primary duties include the review and analysis of electric utility company filings pertaining to the design, construction and operation of electric utility facilities and presentation of testimony before the Arkansas Public Service Commission.
The formal education equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in chemical, civil or mechanical engineering or a related field; plus five years of experience in engineering relating to the work performed. Must be licensed as a registered professional engineer by the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors in accordance with ACA 17-30-301. Electrical degree or experience preferred, in particular as applicable to public utility electric facilities. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements (except for license requirement) upon approval of the Qualifications Review Committee.
